Gang Member’s Take on School Violence

Gang Member’s Assessment of School Violence
written by an admitted Hispanic gang member

Violence at Schools
(transcribed just as it was written)

The violence at some schools now days is very high. And more and more students do not fell safe because every time they turn around something is happening. And some percent of the violence its caused by gangs and other percent its problems between students that don’t like each other. And when students fights the faculty only suspends those students for 10 days and after those days are over those students come back. And instead sending those students to an alternative school for the rest of the year we give them a second chance.

Gang members are the one’s the cause the most problems they are always fighting and bringing inappropriate items to school. Im not saying we should blame it all on them, but most of this problem its their fault. This guys fight over a color and would die for that color, a color that its not going to get them nowhere. And the school alouds them to attend to get an “education” when they are not putting effort to attend school and when they come to school most of the time its to cause trouble.

(note: the student received a 100% on this assignment)
